The “Plan of the Siege laid before the Town of Arras by Archduke Leopold” is a famous 17th-century historic engraving illustrating the battle and the lifting of the siege of Arras on the day of Saint Louis (August 25) 1654 by the French marshals Turenne, La Ferté-Senneterre, and d'Hocquincourt against the Spanish troops.

Sébastien Pontault de Beaulieu (1612-1674) was a French engineer, military officer, and draughtsman who served under the reigns of Louis XIII and Louis XIV. He is regarded as the creator of military topography, through the systematic surveying and drawing—carried out on the ground—of plans of battles, sieges, expeditions, and acts of arms that occurred under these reigns.

Beautiful engraving.
