Postons Lonsdale plate - Cutlery set (65) - ART DECO - in original wooden box - ca. 1915 - Silverplated, ivorine, steel

Antique early Art Deco English silver-plated cutlery set with serving cutlery.
The handles of the knives, carving cutlery and fish cutlery are ivory (faux bone).
For all the knives, the carving fork and the steel bolster the blades are made of steel (stainless).

Total 65-piece, coming in a splendid, original wooden box with green felt inside (dimensions 47x33x16 cm).
Consisting of:

- 6x table knives 23.1 cm.
- 4x table forks 20.3 cm. (note!... 2 are missing)
- 6x soup spoons 19.8 cm.
- 6x knives 20.4 cm.
- 6x forks 18 cm.
- 6x spoons 18.6 cm.
- 6x dessert/tea spoons 13.6 cm.
- 4x coffee spoons 11.5 cm. (note!... 2 are missing)
- 6x fish knives 20.3 cm.
- 6x fish forks 17.3 cm.

- 4x serving spoons 21.5 cm.
- 2x jus and/or sauce spoons 16 cm.
- 2-piece carving cutlery (meat knife and fork) 33.3 cm and 25.5 cm.
- bolster 31.7 cm.

The cutlery is marked with Lonsdale Silver Plate, Poston.

Condition:
All large knives show sharpening marks on the blades. One knife has a chipped handle.
One fish fork is slightly different, but fits well... photos of this have been added.
The blades on the fish knives show signs of use.
The wooden box has a small blemish on one corner and the key is missing.

Furthermore the cutlery is in good used condition.
This is an antique cutlery set, so age-related wear is to be expected.
