Description from the seller
Moroccan septarian nodules — Silver Pendant with Septaria – Natural Moroccan cabochon Elegant pendant made of silver and adorned with an oval cabochon carved from a natural septarian nodule from Morocco. The stone displays a particularly graphic structure, characterized by large dark areas crossed by an irregular network of white-creamy mineral veins, evidence of the fractures that developed inside the nodule during its geological formation and were later filled with secondary minerals. One of the most interesting elements of the specimen is the presence of small metallic pyrite crystals, clearly visible on the polished surface. The tiny amber-colored geometric shapes emerge from the dark background, creating bright points and a pleasant contrast with the light veins of the septaria. The cabochon cut allows a particularly sharp observation of the stone’s complex internal fabric: the deep black and brown areas appear divided into different natural cells, delineated by the lighter lines that run across the entire surface. On the edge, brown-reddish tones are also visible, adding further chromatic depth. The cabochon is set in an oval silver mount with a minimalist design, chosen to let the natural structure of the stone take center stage. The large top loop enables easy pairing with different types of chains. Each septarian has a completely different fracture pattern, making this pendant a unique piece, halfway between jewelry and a small mineralogical specimen to wear. Material: natural septarian with pyrite inclusions/crystals. Origin of the stone: Morocco. Work: cabochon cut and polished. Mount: Silver. Shape: oval. Condition: as in the photographs.
