Sculpture, Buddha in reflectie, 1920-30s - 37 cm - Wood

Stylish Art Deco wooden sculpture of a stylized, presumably Buddha head with a silver-colored finish

It features a stylized face with almond-shaped eyes, a prominent nose and a calm, serene expression, crowned with a hair texture or headdress that evokes Eastern culture

During the interwar period, designers became fascinated by the aesthetics of the Far East (especially China and Japan)

Note: The figure shows various paint damage or loss (see photos) but that gives the piece an authentic patina and appearance

Furthermore, the sculpture is in good condition, wear commensurate with age and use

Each object is carefully and securely packed and shipped insured
