Susse Frères - Som-Charles GUENARDEAU (XIX-XXe) - Vase - maple leaves - Crystal

Very beautiful and old small vase in crystal and solid gold bronze from the Art Nouveau period. Piece signed Guénardeau for the French sculptor Som-Charles GUENARDEAU (born in 1866). The vase is also stamped with the mark of the famous Susse Frères Paris Editeur foundry. Superb craftsmanship of high quality and precision in the bas-relief decoration. Many maple leaves and fruits. In very good condition. Time has taken its toll on the patina. The base was not originally fixed facing the body of the vase (see the last photo). The crystal reservoir part is very thick, in good condition, and the neck is protected by a bronze band. This object is not only decorative but also functional, as the vase can hold flowers.
