Beautiful vintage metal champagne cooler, made for the house Bricout in Tours-sur-Marne.

This cooler features richly decorated handles in the shape of grapevines, also with the logo depicted in relief, plus the engraved text CHAMPAGNE BRICOUT.

Bottom is stamped by the manufacturer: "M.O.D. Meaux ARGIT Made in France." M.O.D. stands for Metaux Ouvres et Decores, originally since 1926 a manufacturer of furniture fittings in Meaux. After attempting to diversify production, they produced silverware and the ARGIT brand, the well-known maker of silver champagne coolers, was acquired.

Identical engravings and image on both sides.

Fraaie vintage metalen Champagnekoeler, gemaakt voor het huis Bricout te Tours-sur-Marne.

Deze koeler is voorzien van rijkelijk gedecoreerde handgrepen in de vorm van druivenranken, tevens in reliëf afgebeeld logo, plus de gegraveerde tekst CHAMPAGNE BRICOUT.

Onderkant is voorzien van stempels, geplaatst door de fabrikant: "M.O.D. Meaux ARGIT Made in France."
M.O.D. is Metaux Ouvres et Decores, oorspronkelijk sinds 1926 een fabrikant van meubelbeslag te Meaux.
Na te hebben geprobeerd de productie te diversifiëren vervaardigde ze zilverwerk en kocht men het merk ARGIT, de bekende maker van zilveren Champagnekoelers.  

Aan beide kanten identieke gravures en afbeelding.
