Brand Mycro Camera Co. / Sanwa, Model IIIA, in new condition and tested and working, with the original brown leather carrying case, manual and delivery certificate.
Description from the seller
Beautiful Mycro IIIA subminiature camera (also known as a "Hit-type" or spy camera) produced in Japan around 1953 by Sanwa Shōkai / Mycro Camera Co. Ltd. This miniature masterpiece is an absolute attraction for any serious collector of vintage photography and analog history! The Mycro IIIA is the very last, most advanced and most luxurious model in the renowned Mycro line. Unlike the simpler Hit cameras of the time, this model is equipped with an adjustable aperture and variable shutter speeds. This example is in very nice cosmetic condition and is supplied with the distinctive original brown leather parata/paraattas with relief embossing and the accompanying lens cap case.
Specifications:
Brand: Mycro Camera Co. / Sanwa
Model: IIIA (Last export model in the series, approx. 1953)
Country of origin: Japan
Lens: Mycro Una 20mm f/4.5 (adjustable aperture up to f/11)
Shutter: Manually adjustable (B, 1/25, 1/50, 1/100 sec)
Format: Produces 14x14 mm images on 17.5 mm paper-backed roll film
Dimensions: Only about 50 x 32 x 32 mm
Condition of the item:
Cosmetic: In near-new condition (see the detailed photos for a more precise impression).
Mechanical: The shutter cocks and primes. The shutter speeds respond, but the camera has not been tested with film for exact accuracy (as is typical for collector’s items this age).
Accessories: Includes the original beautifully patinated leather parata case; the camera still has a film inside (of course no longer usable), manual, certificate of delivery. Unfortunately, part of the dossier in which the camera was delivered has been lost
A splendid and compact "spy-cam" that looks gorgeous in a display cabinet. Cameras of this complete condition with case are becoming increasingly rare.
