The story takes place from January to July 1807 during the terrible campaign in Poland. Although victorious at Austerlitz, Jena, and Auerstädt, the Grande Armée exhausts itself in the cold, the mud, and the extreme conditions of the eastern territories against the forces of the Russian Empire and Prussia. Very beautiful plate.
