AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Very large Art Deco statue in white crackled ceramic.
The sculpture depicts an aristocratic lady with a fleeing roe deer or hind behind her.
The combination of graceful women and deer is very typical for the Art Deco period because they are symbols of the elegance and refinement of that era.
What is special about this statue is that the front and back are equally important.
At the back (where the deer is fully visible) the characteristic sleek Art Deco lines come into their own even more.

The statue is by an unknown French sculptor and is made in one of the many French ceramic ateliers such as Saint Clément, Orchies, Longwy, …

The craquelures are fine and regular, indicating good craftsmanship
The statue is in excellent vintage condition. There are no restorations and also no chips or hairlines which are common in statues of that age. There are of course tiny imperfections typical for pieces from this period. These imperfections are not faults but proof that it is an original Art Deco piece.
The photos are an integral part of the description.

Dimensions: Length 52 cm - Height 32 cm - Depth 14 cm

The statue is packed with great care and shipped with track & trace.
