Category Catawiki
Collecting > Knives > Italian handcrafted folding knives
Description
Beautiful traditional knife from the Apennine area, made by Fraraccio, a historic Italian manufacturer known for the quality of its artisanal work.
This model recalls the classic knives used daily by farmers, breeders and shepherds of the central Apennines: a simple, robust and elegant instrument, designed to accompany the owner throughout the year as an indispensable pocket companion.
In addition to its traditional use in daily activities, this knife was often placed at the table during convivial moments, used for cutting cold cuts, cheeses and other products typical of the local tradition.
The handle is made of natural premium Pink wood, featuring beautiful warm and authentic grain patterns that make each piece unique, a rare supply of wood. The blade is in satin-finished 420 stainless steel, sturdy and well finished, with traditional manual opening.
Also very distinctive is the structure with a terminal metal ring, a feature typical of Italian rural knives, useful for attaching to a belt or work kit.
Exemplar from the early 2000s, never used and perfectly preserved.
A knife that perfectly represents the Italian artisanal tradition of Scarperia and the pastoral Apennine world.
