Theatre binoculars antique Chevalier Paris – late 19th / early 20th century
Elegant pair of theatre binoculars signed Chevalier Paris, made in France toward the end of the 19th century or the beginning of the 20th century.
Model with central focusing, made of silvered metal and brass with original embossed covering imitating leather, probably in varnished paper or pressed cardboard decorated, typical of that period.
The optics are present and the manufacturer's markings remain visible. A beautiful collectible item evoking the world of theatre, opera, and performances of the Belle Époque.
Condition:
"Condition as to age. The binoculars show several signs of wear, losses on the outer coating as well as deformations and dents on some metal hoops, probably due to old impacts. Original patina preserved. The optics are present. Please carefully examine the photographs which are an integral part of the description."
