Embroidery (2) - 54 cm - 54 cm - Ancient Embroideries

These two table covers from times past are unique and hard to find.
They were placed on small altars or prayer tables found in the grand manor houses of the last century.
The fabric is silk, like the thread with which they were hand-embroidered by very skilled seamstresses.
Together with embroidery in stiff gold thread.
All the embroidery is very raised (three-dimensional).
Hems finished with antique gold trimming.
The largest one has a halo around it due to moisture absorption, but this did not affect the embroidery, which remains perfect in its beauty.
The second, smaller one is in perfect condition.
