"The Lightning of Spa" is a powerful, dramatic visual manifesto permeated by an extraordinary sense of agonistic trance, monumental speed, and chromatic boldness. The composition unfolds on multiple visual levels, creating a psychological and dynamic narrative of the race:

The Formula 1 Car in the Foreground: At the bottom, a Red Bull Racing single-seater lunges onto the track in the middle of a fast bend. The car is defined by the iconic matte blue, bright yellow, and red color scheme, enriched by the famous bull emblem on the bonnet and the technical sponsors faithfully reproduced (e.g., Mobil 1, TAG Heuer). Behind it, as a blurred shadow from the past or a rival dulled by the pace, the dark monochrome silhouette of a second Formula 1 car is glimpsed.

The Monumental Portrait of the Driver: The upper-center of the canvas is dominated by the majestic, close-up frontal view of Max Verstappen’s helmet. The helmet design, in deep blue, vibrant orange, and white tones, is rendered with incredible tactile precision, highlighting the Red Bull, TAG Heuer, and personal logo at the rear. Above the shell runs a stylized lightning bolt traced with lively white and yellow lines, symbolizing the illumination of genius and the pure adrenaline shock of the moment. “With 'The Lightning of Spa' I wanted to explore the mental state of a driver in a perfect flow, where everything disappears except the trajectory, speed, and hunger for victory. Spa is the ideal stage for this energy: an ancient, fast, frightening circuit. I chose to overlay the physical charge of the racing single-seater with the gaze captured in the helmet to unite the man and the machine in one visual lightning bolt. The stylized flash above the helmet is the visual symbol of that millisecond in which a overtaking or a record is decided. The brushstroke impasto style, dense and rich in color streaks, serves to give body to pure speed, transforming the viewer into a passenger in this kinetic vortex. I selected the premium canvas because only its tactile texture could withstand the force of these dark, saturated brushstrokes. I hope it brings a deep surge of energy, academic rigor, and motor charisma of the author into the spaces where it is shown.”
