Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Mosasaurus prognathodon currii, a marine reptile specimen from the Cretaceous period (upper), is preserved and restored, with dimensions 126 cm long, 91 cm high and 30 cm deep.
Description from the seller
Gigantic large xxx skull, 126 cm long and of very high quality.
Due to changed customs export procedures, it can only be sold within the EU and pickup is preferred.
The Mosasauridae, also known as mosasaurids, are a family of extinct marine reptiles from the order Squamata. The family owes its name to the river Maas (Latin: Mosa), because in the limestone quarries near Maastricht in 1766 the first mosasaurid fossils were found.
They were mostly large and probably powerful predators. For some specimens, even just the head is about three meters long, making them among the largest animals that have ever lived. Mosasaurids had an extra row of teeth in their palate, which held prey while the jaws moved forward to swallow it. The skull shape of mosasaurids indicates a relationship with monitor lizards.
This enormous Mosasaurus skull is of high quality and belonged to an adult specimen. The skull height to standard is 91 cm and the length is 126 cm.
Delivery only within the Benelux. Outside the Benelux, buyers can pick up this enormous skull in the Netherlands/Rotterdam.
The quality of this skull is extraordinarily high and is of museum level.
