Description from the seller
Vintage original Krups mechanical scale, German-made, dating roughly to the 1950s–1960s.
Elegant kitchen/domestic model with a large upper metal plate and the distinctive circular dial with the Krups logo and the inscription “Fabrik-Marke”.
The dial features dual calibration, with a maximum capacity of 10 kg / 20 pounds, and retains the original needle with a distinctive ring counterweight.
Entirely mechanical metal construction, with ivory-colored paint. The item shows evident signs of age and use: patina, scratches, small oxidation and paint loss, clearly visible in the photographs. These elements have not been restored and testify to the age and use of the object.
Complete with the large upper plate (we are not certain about originality).
Interesting collectible item and decoration, particularly suitable for vintage environments, kitchens, restaurants or collections of historical measuring instruments.
Seems to operate by placing a weight on it, but calibration was not possible, so it is not possible to say with certainty that it works well.
Alexanderwerk: This is a kitchen mechanical scale by Alexanderwerk, German, with a 10 kg capacity and 250 g graduation. The body is metal/painted cast iron and the large dial is enamelled; your specimen retains a nice patina, though it shows several areas of paint loss. The serving plate is missing.
