Frame - Gold plated - Rococo

Monumental gilded frame with rocaille and foliage ornamentation

Beautifully wrought gilded painting frame with rich relief decoration of leaf motifs, scrolls and shell-like ornaments.

The wide frame has a pronounced classical appearance and is built around a wooden core/base.
The decorative front features prominently profiled and gilded ornamentation, with particularly beautiful corner and central sections. The inner edge is also finely finished.

The frame has a warm, aged gold color and shows normal signs of use and aging that suit its character.
The back shows the traditional wooden construction.

Suitable for a painting, portrait or mirror and also very decorative as an empty frame.
