Description from the seller
Solid Wood Sideboard/Buffet with Pink Marble Top - Liberty Style
Charming solid wood buffet cabinet dating from the early 20th century and clearly inspired by the Liberty style (Art Nouveau). This piece combines functionality with the ornamental grace typical of the era.
The piece features:
Body: Solid solid wood structure in a warm honey-toned finish.
Top: An elegant thick pink veined marble top, adding a touch of color and prestige.
Decorative Details: The two upper drawers and the two lower doors are adorned with delicate laser-engraved carvings featuring stylized floral motifs and flowing lines, typical of Liberty aesthetics.
Hardware: Original brass handles.
Interior: The inside of the doors and drawers is lined with a decorative small-pattern geometric wallpaper (green/blue on white background), in good condition.
Condition:
The piece is in generally good condition, solid and stable. It shows the normal signs of time and use consistent with its age, which enhance its authentic patina.
The following details are noted (visible in the photos):
A slight circular discoloration on the marble top.
A small nail partially pulled out on the right side, beneath the top.
Small wear marks on the wood finish.
This piece is perfect for furnishing a dining room, an entry hall, or a study, bringing a touch of history and the elegance of bygone times. Ready to be placed in a new environment without the need for invasive restoration.
