Ancient Luristan Bronze Tubular Lobed Mace Head
Description:
An authentic, finely cast ancient Western Asiatic bronze ceremonial mace head, dating approximately to the Late Bronze Age / Early Iron Age (ca. 1200–800 BCE).
This piece features a distinctive hollow tubular design with a prominent central swollen sphere. The midsection is adorned with rows of protruding conical nodules (bosses), flanked by decorative raised ridges on either side of the shaft. Mace heads of this specific style were highly significant prestige items carried by elite warriors, commanders, or noblemen in the ancient Near East.
The artifact features an attractive, dark encrusted patina consistent with age and long-term burial.
