Topaz crystals in crystal-on-matrix form (Champagne variety) from the Dassu mine in Shigar Valley, Pakistan, weighing 515 g with smoky quartz and mica star formations on a feldspar/fluorite matrix, dimensions 10 x 8 x 7 cm.
Description from the seller
Raw masterpiece of nature, this specimen presents a complex mineralogical association (paragenesis) of exceptional aesthetics and freshness. From the noblest miarolitic pockets, it offers a spectacular three-dimensional contrast between the geometric purity of the crystals and the matrix. A high-end display piece, visually balanced at 360°, ready to join an demanding collection.
ANALYSIS OF THE PIECE & MINERALOGY
• Topaz (Champagne Variety): Group of 5 perfectly individualized prismatic crystals. They display a natural intense amber color (Champagne) highly sought after and a superior crystalline translucency allowing light to pass through.
• Smoky Quartz (Dominant): Major dark crystals (smoky morion), shiny, with sharp edges. They dominate the piece and create a striking contrast with the light tones of the matrix.
• Mica Stars (Muscovite): Crystallizations in foliated sheets arranged in geometric rosettes ("stars") highly sparkling, bringing relief and dynamism to the whole.
• Matrix (Feldspar & Fluorite): Natural base of pure white feldspar (albite/microcline) finely textured, sprinkled with indicatory traces of fluorite, signifying the noble hydrothermal origin of the specimen.
TECHNICAL DATA & METROLOGY
• Condition: Absolutely intact (No damage). Terminated crystals, no fractures or collection shocks. Rare in this size.
• Weight: 515 grams (Remarkable density, very nice presence in hand).
• Dimensions: 10 x 8 x 7 cm (Ideal cabinet-size proportions, perfect for display).
• Treatment: None. Mineral 100% natural, unmined, simply cleaned.
