Knife rest (12) - Messenleggers renpaarden en zwanen - Silverplated

Offered is a beautiful and complete set of 12 high-quality silver-plated knife rests in a charming animal theme. The set consists of two series of six: six elegantly styled swans with graceful necks and six dynamically designed jumping/galoping horses.

Knife rests were originally used during formal dinners to keep the cutlery off the table, so there would be no stains on the tablecloth. Today they are an absolute focal point on a festively laid table and a beloved collectible.

This set is in a beautiful, glossy vintage condition with minimal, age-appropriate signs of wear that contribute to its authentic character. A unique opportunity for the lover of classic table silver and unique Art Deco-style objects.
