Two ancient bronze spearheads/arrowheads dating to the 1st millennium BC, attributed to Greek/Luristan culture, measuring about 15.5 cm and 10.2 cm and weighing a combined 53.5 g, in very good condition with natural patina and uncleaned surfaces.
Description from the seller
**Ancient Greek / Luristan Bronze Spearhead / Arrowhead – Lot of Two
c. 1st Millennium BC**
A compelling lot of two authentic ancient bronze spearheads / arrowheads, attributed to the Greek / Luristan
cultural sphere, dating to the 1st millennium BC.
Both pieces display elongated leaf-shaped to tri-lobed forms, with pronounced central blades and tapering points.
Such projectile points are characteristic of the Near Eastern and Eastern Mediterranean regions, valued in antiquity for their effectiveness in warfare and hunting, as well as for their symbolic associations with strength, protection, and precision.
The surfaces retain thick, naturally developed green and turquoise patina, with visible mineral encrustation
consistent with long burial. The pieces are uncleaned and remain in as-found condition, making this an especially appealing lot for a collector or enthusiast interested in a careful conservation or cleaning project, should they wish to undertake one.
No modern restoration or invasive intervention has been carried out. The current condition preserves the
archaeological character and authenticity of the artefacts.
Arrowheads and spearheads of this type were essential tools of survival and conflict in the ancient world and are now highly sought after for their raw aesthetic and historical presence.
