Bodegas Santamaría López is a family winery located in Laguardia (Álava), in the heart of the D.O.Ca Rioja (Rioja Alavesa).
Directed by Gloria Santamaría López, the winery manages and controls about 400 hectares of vineyards to guarantee maximum quality from the vine to the bottle.
Notable and Historic Wines
Although production spans different ranges of young wines and crianza, the brand is recognized in the collectors’ market and on platforms like Vivino’s directory for traditional references and historic vintages:
• Ángel Santamaría (Special Harvest / Gran Reserva): Classic Rioja wines with long aging. It’s possible to find highly sought historical bottles from mythical vintages such as 1970 (around €50) or 1995.
