Description from the seller

XXL 44 cm - Exceptional Lot of 6 Corkscrews in Vines Verneered Vine Wood – Laurent Siret & Henri Maire Arbois
An exceptional and rare set of 6 artisanal corkscrews made from genuine natural vine cane, beautifully showcased by a varnished wood finish.
Each piece is a unique work of viticultural folk art, shaped by the natural and winding curves of the vine. The varnish provides a superb shine that highlights the knots, the grain, and the rustic character of the wood, while ensuring excellent protection.

Details of the Pieces and Lot Dimensions:

1. The Masterpiece: The Monumental XXL Model (44 cm)
Length: 44 cm (exceptional scale)
Description: A masterful piece for the cellar or counter absolutely spectacular. Its size makes it a showcase piece or cave decoration beyond the ordinary. Finding a vine cane of this magnitude and quality has become very rare today.

2. The Signed Model "LAURENT SIRET" (15 cm)
Length: 15 cm
History: Stamped on the metal nib "LAURENT SIRET - ROCHEFORT S/LOIRE". Installed in Anjou, Laurent Siret (House founded in 1928) is historically the creator and the patented inventor of the corkscrew in vine cane in the 1930s. It is the absolute reference signature for this type of object, guaranteeing historic French artisanal craftsmanship.

3. The Prestige Model "ARBOIS" (18 cm)
Length: 18 cm
History: Equipped with its original engraved plaque "ARBOIS". This piece testifies to a highly sought-after historic partnership: the famous Jura wine merchant Henri Maire (the pope of Arbois wines) affixed these high-end advertising plaques to creations for his privileged clients. A true piece of Jura vineyard history.

4. The 3 Complementary Models of Popular Art
Dimensions: One model of 18 cm and two models of 16 cm.
Description: Unmarked, but perfectly matched. They feature beautiful ergonomic and winding shapes. The varnished finish harmonizes the entire lot superbly.

Total weight of the items: About 1.6 kg (evidence of the density and quality of vine wood).
Condition: Good vintage-used condition. The varnished wood is sound, shiny, and very well preserved. The steel nibs (twists/spirals) are solid and original, with very light traces of oxidation that attest to their authenticity and lived history.
