Description from the seller

Antique Victorian Gothic Revival Occasional Stand – circa 1880–1900

The stand is crafted in dark-stained hardwood, featuring an exceptionally decorative architectural design. The upper section is supported by four turned and spiral-carved columns, connected by pierced Gothic-style panels with pointed arches, quatrefoil openings and scrolling tracery. The central shelf is richly decorated with relief carving and geometric foliate motifs, while the pierced apron features repeated Gothic cusped arches.

The legs are slender and turned, joined by an elaborate lower stretcher framework, terminating in small turned feet. The upper surface has a contrasting light pink fabric upholstery inset, framed by a moulded square border. The fabric is a bit worn-out due to age and use (see on photos).

A highly decorative example of Victorian Gothic Revival furniture, combining architectural carving, openwork ornament and finely turned elements.
Good antique condition, with age-related wear and minor signs of use consistent with its age.
Presented of treated moth holes.
Please refer to photographs.
