French-made Art Deco ceiling lamp in brass and engraved glass, dating to 1950–1960, in good used condition and in working order, 60 cm high with a 23 cm square footprint.
Description from the seller
Elegant Art Déco ceiling lamp from the fifties and sixties, made of gold-toned brass and engraved crystal, notable for the purity of its geometric shapes and its refined decorative presence. The metal structure, with a warm, bright finish, frames a wide spherical body of opaline crystal carefully decorated with delicate acid-etched vegetal motifs, adding subtlety and visual depth to the surface.
The design combines the architectural solidity characteristic of the Art Déco language with a softer, more elegant interpretation typical of European production in the mid-20th century. The upper crown, turned and perforated with geometric details, adds visual lightness and reinforces the ornamental character of the piece, while the balanced lower terminal harmoniously extends the lamp’s vertical silhouette.
When illuminated, the crystal diffuses a warm, uniform light that highlights the decorative engravings and creates a cozy, sophisticated atmosphere. Its timeless aesthetic allows it to blend into both classic interiors and Mid-Century, Art Déco, or eclectic settings, where it provides a distinguished vintage accent.
A luminairie of great formal elegance that combines the nobility of gold-toned brass with the delicacy of worked crystal, evoking the discreet glamour and artisanal quality of mid-20th-century decorative lighting.
Certified shipping and good packaging.
