Beautiful and intriguing statuette from the north of Togo. The face is enigmatic, simplified, stylized and worn. On its chest a zig-zag shape forms its chest or its arms(?). The body is compact and powerful. The figure is rooted to the ground, with short legs. The style is archaic. The back is eroded. Dense wood. Beautiful old patina. Sold as is, cracks and damage, see photos. A beautiful piece for an antique and authentic collection. Circa 1960.

Belle et intrigante statuette du nord du Togo. Le visage est énigmatique, simplifié, stylisé et abimé. Sur son torse une forme en zig-zag forme sa poitrine ou ses bras(?). Le corps est tassé et puissant. Le personnage est ancré au sol, les jambes courtes. Le style est archaïque. Le dos est érodé. Bois dense. Belle patine ancienne. Vendu en l'état, fentes et accidents, voir photos. Une belle pièce de collection ancienne et authentique. Circa 1960.
