Description from the seller
Chandelier with a bowl shape Liberty / Boho-Chic – hand-painted satin glass with wisteria and natural fiber suspension in entirely natural rope
In auction, an enchanting and evocative pendant chandelier in a bowl shape (historically defined as a "moschiera"), a piece with a unique character that blends the timeless elegance of Art Nouveau / Liberty style with the warm, tactile feel of the perfect Boho-Chic and Eclectic style.
The cup is crafted in satin-finished cameo glass, characterized by a beautiful warm and enveloping color gradient that fades from a milky, opalescent white at the bottom to an intense apricot-orange color at the upper edge.
The surface is entirely decorated and hand-painted with a continuous natural motif of rare delicacy: clusters of wisteria in shades of lilac, violet, and old pink, enriched with green foliage and fine twigs that wrap around the entire circumference of the glass.
The real strength for a Boho-Chic interior lies in its original suspension system: it consists of three cords of natural fabric/jute intertwined, embellished with refined ornamental knots in a monkey’s fist pattern. The cords support the structure by attaching to three peripheral knobs applied to the glass, giving the object an organic, artisanal, and strongly tactile appearance.
Ideal for furnishings:
This piece is perfect for enriching environments rich in plants, with rattan, wicker, or natural wood furniture (exactly as shown in the styled photos). It diffuses a warm, filtered, and incredibly welcoming light, transforming the atmosphere of any room.
The item presents itself in excellent vintage condition. The glass is intact, with no cracks or chipping. The suspension cords are solid and ready to be hung. Subtle asymmetries in the decoration or in the glass are not defects, but the distinguishing sign of an entirely handcrafted production that attests to its artisanal value.
Electrical system present and untested
