Pair of Large Victorian / Edwardian Sterling Silver Candlesticks – Walker & Hall – Sheffield, c. 1904 (Total Weight: 2,480 g)Description:An impressive and heavy pair of antique English Sterling Silver candlesticks, crafted by the renowned silversmiths Walker & Hall in Sheffield, dating to the early 20th century (circa 1904).These substantial candlesticks feature rich Rococo-style decorative scrollwork, acanthus leaves, and repoussé detailing along the knopped stems and large shaped, contoured bases. The hallmarks are crisp and clearly struck on the lower rims, showing:W&H in a flag banner (Maker's mark for Walker & Hall) Crown (Sheffield town mark) Lion Passant (Sterling Silver 925 standard) Date letter 'm' (c. 1904) Condition:Excellent antique condition with minor surface wear consistent with age. Professionally polished, showing crisp detailing and very clear hallmarks.
