Six heavy 999/1000 silver amuse spoons in the Haags Lofje model, made by Gerritsen of Zeist in 1999 (year letter P), total weight 408 g, dimensions 11.5 × 4 × 4.3 cm, marked NL-ASSAY-OFFICE-AG-999 with Minerva Gouda, Netherlands.
Description from the seller
This is a set of heavy pure/fine silver (999/1000) amuse spoons with the Haags Lofje model. This set comes from an inheritance/estate.
The following information is relevant:
It is a VERY RARE set of 6 Dutch silver amuse spoons, all in solid condition. These amuse spoons feature the Haags Lofje model. The 6 silver amuse spoons have been crafted for the family by a renowned silversmith and bear the same hallmarks and year letter. The set of 6 silver amuse spoons is a special addition to the silver Haags Lofje cutlery.
The Haags Lofje model originated in the 18th century from the Hollands Glad model. Because the Lofje was especially loved by the nobility in the court capital The Hague, it bears the name Haags Lofje.
The Silver Factory Gerritsen produced table silver in the latter half of the 20th century in 999/1000. A process devised by the silver factory to make cutlery from nearly pure silver. Due to the purity of the silver (999/1000 = highest fineness = comparable to the SILVER CONTENT of a STERLING piece) this cutlery with the Haags Lofje model is VERY RARE and a GOOD INVESTMENT.
