Description from the seller
Acropora hyacinthus – Large Table Coral – Natural Specimen
A beautiful and highly sculptural specimen of Acropora hyacinthus, one of the most recognizable table-forming corals, admired for its broad spreading growth and dense branching architecture.
This specimen develops into an impressive flattened colony composed of numerous short, closely packed branchlets radiating outward from the central structure. The overall form is wide, open and architectural, with a strong table-like silhouette characteristic of the species.
The surface is densely covered with small corallites, creating a finely textured appearance across the entire colony. Its natural white coloration emphasizes the complexity of the branching pattern and gives the specimen a particularly clean and elegant visual presence.
Viewed from above, the coral reveals a broad circular to irregular plate-like formation with a central opening, while the side views clearly show the supporting structure beneath and the way the colony expands outward in layered sections.
A striking natural history specimen with excellent decorative appeal, ideal for a marine collection, cabinet of curiosities or refined interior display.
Legally imported with CITES permit: IT/IM/2022/MCE/05341
Attention non-EU bidders: This lot requires specific CITES clearance procedures to be shipped out of Italy and then imported into your country. We strongly discourage non-EU bidders from bidding.
