Princely Jugendstil glass carafe with figural bronze mount – circa 1900
Description (German):
For sale is an elegant and rare princely carafe (Aiguière) from the Jugendstil / Art Nouveau period (around 1900).
The vessel consists of high-quality, colorless crystal glass that has been richly overlaid in deep blue (cobalt blue) and refined with a delicate geometric fan and cross-cut facets.
The carafe is set in a masterful bronze mount. The long, elegantly curved handle flows into perforated floral motifs. A special and rare detail is the mounting at the stand: here are two detailed cast, figural nymphs / wave-maidens in the period-typical flowing style.

• Condition: Very good, age-appropriate condition. No cracks or chips in the glass. The bronze mount shows a beautiful, authentic patina.
