Hendrik Nicolaas Werkman (Leens, 29 April 1882 – Bakkeveen, 10 April 1945) was a Dutch expressionist artist. He became known as the printer of De Ploeg, the artists' association that, at the beginning of the 20th century, shook up Groningen's cultural life. In 1921-22 he published Blad voor Kunst, which he had printed himself, followed by the magazine The Next Call, on which he could imprint more of his personal stamp. He published it independently from 1923 to 1926. (Wikipedia)
