AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Antique flip-top document box, or jewelry box and/or postbox, in the form of a small vanity/desk box, crafted in the Louis XV / Louis XVI style and dating from the late 19th to the early 20th century.
Of French origin, there is the inscription 'Modele depose' at the bottom, shown in the photo.
Material: wood, fabric, and lithographed tin.
The box seems to have undergone a repair to one leg, shown in the photo. It is nevertheless stable and shows no settling. Obviously to be handled with care given its age and material.
Height 22 cm, width 22 cm, depth about 15 cm.
Upholstered in elegant, fine fabric on the back where it shows signs of wear and sagging.
The velvet on top also shows signs of age, given the very delicate material.
The flip-top has a revolving lock which, given the age and curvature of the wood, must be guided with care and gentleness when closing.
Please note: my photos are part of the description.
I do not ship outside the EU.
It will be carefully packed and shipped via tracked mail using special materials.
