Description from the seller

This exceptional natural ammolite from Alberta, Canada displays an especially intense and expansive play of colors. The preserved fossil shell layer shines, depending on the viewing angle, in vivid green, turquoise, blue and violet, complemented by yellow to golden accents.

Particularly appealing is the original character of the piece. The iridescent ammolite layer is still directly connected with the fossil ammonite and its original rock matrix. Visible fracture lines and differently preserved shell portions divide the color play into individual fields and create the characteristic, almost mosaic-like pattern.

Ammolite is among the rarest organic jewelry and collectible stones in the world. The most significant and highest-quality deposits are located in the Bearpaw Formation in southern Alberta, whose fossil ammonites are famous for their exceptionally intense iridescence. In particular, the distinctly blue, turquoise and violet tones make this piece visually very attractive.

Metaphysically, ammolite is associated with life force, change, prosperity and positive energy. Its multifaceted color play is seen as a symbol of harmony and renewal.

An expressive fossil, where the original ammonite structure and the intense color play of the ammolite are impressively combined.
