Description from the seller
PINO INCREDIX
IA : artisanal intelligence
a designer who thinks with his hands
Pino IINCREDIX is a designer who thinks with his hands.
With his hands he experiments with matter, manipulates it, carves it, and pushes it beyond the limits of matter itself
With his hands he enjoys playing with the forms and the materiality of stone as well as resin and wood
he has held various exhibitions around Italy and abroad, in addition to several publications in international magazines.
The work HIM is part of the PRIMITIVES collection.
This collection is based on a primitive approach to stoneworking: minimalist, essential forms, worked with rough and raw textures, from a vase to a simple blade of grass to everyday objects made in stone.
All started from a dream: one night I dreamed that everything around me (objects, walls, bed, computer, lamps, etc) was in stone as if I had returned to the age of primitives; in the dream I get out of bed and pick up the phone (in stone) and begin to talk with a friend of mine who lives in Milan:
When I woke up for a few minutes I really saw everything in stone; that morning I made my first stone object.
HIM is sculpted following drawings inspired by futuristic shapes, giving the stone a language almost like advertising graphics
