Share of 4 Egyptian Pounds to bearer, 1927.
Original Dutch? Egyptian share issue, dated 23 June 1927, of the Société Égyptienne de Ciment Portland, Tourah-Le Caire. Very decoratively executed in polychrome lithography with a characteristic Egyptian-style design, including a winged sun disk and figures from pharaonic iconography. Bilingual issue in French and Arabic.
Share no. 157634, with accompanying dividend coupons. The copy also shows the later capital mention and original signatures/stamps.
Condition: EF (Extremely Fine), with light age/use marks. Colors especially well preserved. No significant cracks or missing parts visible.
A handsome and decorative example of Egyptian historical paper money/security paper and an attractive piece for collectors of Egyptian, French and Art Deco/Oriental shares.
