Description from the seller
Brunello di Montalcino DOCG – CastelGiocondo Frescobaldi
Description (for Catawiki):
An iconic expression of Montalcino from the historic CastelGiocondo estate of the Frescobaldi family. This Brunello is produced exclusively from Sangiovese grown on the unique slopes surrounding the medieval castle, where altitude, soils and exposure create wines of remarkable elegance and longevity.
In the glass it shows an intense ruby colour with garnet reflections. The bouquet is complex and refined, revealing aromas of ripe cherry, wild berries and plum, intertwined with notes of tobacco, sweet spices, leather and a delicate balsamic touch. On the palate it is structured and harmonious, with silky tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, persistent finish.
A classic and age-worthy Brunello that beautifully represents the tradition and prestige of Montalcino.
Grape variety: 100% Sangiovese
Food pairing: Perfect with roasted meats, game, braised dishes and aged cheeses.
