Description from the seller
1) Côte-Rôtie Bassenon 2024
The CÔTE-RÔTIE – Bassenon by Yves CUILLERON has a dense, purplish color. The nose is seductive and fruity, with lingering notes of blackberries and flowers. The palate is fine and silky, with the minerality of the terroir bringing freshness.
Composed of 90% Syrah and 10% Viognier, this cuvée comes from the southern part of the Côte-Rôtie appellation, on the Côte Blonde, on the Bassenon hillside, where it flourishes on gneiss terroir.
This wine can be enjoyed young to appreciate its fruitiness. However, it will be even more enjoyable after 10 years of aging.
Food and wine pairing: Enjoy with honey and thyme-glazed lamb shanks.
2) Crozes-Hermitage Labaya 2023
The Crozes-Hermitage – Labaya from the Yves CUILLERON estate has a garnet color with purple highlights. The nose is powerful with delicious red fruit aromas. The palate is supple, delicious, and beautifully balanced. The fine tannins in this wine highlight the freshness of the crisp fruit.
Made from 100% Syrah, this cuvée is a blend of plots located in the Mercurol and Beaumont-Monteux areas.
This wine can be enjoyed both young, with its youthful fruitiness, and after five years, when its secondary aromas begin to develop.
Food and wine pairing: Enjoy with roast capon.
3) Syrah Les Vignes d'à Côté 2025
The Syrah from the Yves CUILLERON estate stands out for its brilliant red color. The nose is pleasant and aromatic, with notes of fresh red fruit. On the palate, these fresh red fruit flavors are present, accented by the Syrah’s spicy notes.
Made from 100% Syrah, this wine is a blend from plots located on the edges of the crus within the Collines Rhodaniennes IGP, and is aged for eight months, split equally between barrels and tanks.
Best enjoyed young, within 3–4 years.
Food and wine pairings: Pair with charcuterie or grilled meats such as beef skewers.
