Description from the seller

Mauviel's top-quality cookware. Not only for professionals but also for home cooks.

The Mauviel 1830 casserole has a diameter of 16 cm and a capacity of 1.5 L. The pan is built with three layers (copper, aluminum and stainless steel) for optimal heat distribution.

The interior is lined with stainless steel; this layer is wear-resistant and capable of withstanding high temperatures, unlike the older tinned pans, and prevents copper from adversely affecting the flavor of your preparations. The stainless steel handle is riveted to the pan. The saucepan is generally used for cooking large quantities of water and liquid dishes, but also for preparing meat, sauces and more.

Over time the copper exterior will begin to patina, giving the pan a rustic appearance. If you wish to restore the original color and shine you can use Mauviel Copperbril copper polish to polish the copper.

Mauviel 1830 is a French brand founded in 1830 by Ernest Mauviel in Villedieu-les-Poêles, Normandy, a town with a long tradition of copperworking. The family business is renowned for its high-quality copper and stainless-steel cookware and is synonymous with quality, durability and craftsmanship. Mauviel combines traditional craftsmanship with innovation and is beloved by professional chefs worldwide. France is renowned for its superior cookware. Mauviel, Le Creuset and Staub are highly regarded worldwide.
