This extraordinary natural sapphire on matrix impresses with its distinctive, well-formed corundum crystal, embedded in a contrasting dark rock matrix. In ordinary light, the crystal already displays a fascinating play of colors, with deep violet, purplish nuances, and warm reddish-brown tones. When the crystal is backlit, its impressive transparency and the intense color zoning with glowing red and violet areas reveal its natural formation in a striking way.
