Apameia in central Anatolia was a major Hellenistic and Roman trade hub and a center of Greco-Anatolian religious exchange. Its coinage reflects the city’s worship of Zeus and Artemis Anaitis, a fusion of Greek Artemis and Persian Anahita, and its enduring commercial and cultural importance.
