Statuette, Christus-corpus, 17e eeuw - 70 cm - Limewood

A masterpiece of museum quality—early 17th century—made of linden wood, and of great quality is the masterfully carved Christ corpus. There are still remnants of the old polygonal colors visible. There is no active woodworm; the woodwork is in beautiful condition—provenance from Holland.

Besides its fine quality, it is certainly of a large size, with a length of about 70 cm. The width averages 20–25 cm and the thickness is roughly 12 to 15 cm.

Comes from my collection of about 55 years, from my period as a contractor in restoration work / monuments. The statue will be insured for its auction value, and shipped insured! It will be packed with great care.
