Splendid and rare original vintage photograph depicting Vittorio Emanuele III of Savoy, King of Italy, in a military uniform as a General of the Army.
The portrait, dating from the World War I period (circa 1918), is one of the famous institutional shots taken by the renowned portrait photographer Mario Nunes Vais. The sovereign is shown bust-length, adorned with the highest honors and the plaque of the Order of the Most Holy Annunciation.

• Back features: It bears the original catalog number of the archival negative plate (11901), typical of official or ministerial prints of the era destined for public offices and barracks.
