Richard Sapper:
Richard Sapper was born in Munich in 1932. In the 1960s, he began collaborating with the Italian architect Marco Zanuso; together, they acted as design consultants for Brionvega, for whom they developed a series of television and radio programs. Throughout his career, Sapper remained deeply involved in academia, teaching at numerous universities. He received many awards for his products, and his designs are represented in the permanent collections of numerous museums internationally. In 2012, Sapper was awarded the Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. He died on December 31, 2015.
