Description from the seller
Solid silver candlestick Minerva – A. Risler & Carré, Paris – circa 1900 – Louis XVI style

This elegant piece, in Louis XVI / neoclassical style, features a particularly refined decor: fluted circular base, beaded and foliate friezes, fluted column, laurel garlands and especially a binet shaped like an antique vase adorned with ram heads, an emblematic decorative detail of the neoclassical taste.
The candlestick is fitted with its original removable cap (bobèche), which enhances its decorative interest and craftsmanship. It bears the mark A. Risler & Carré, Paris as well as a Minerva punch, guaranteeing a work in French silver.
