Description from the seller
Louis-Philippe Rustic Cabinet with Door and Drawer – Italy, 19th century
Genuine rustic cabinet from the **Louis-Philippe period**, made in solid wood and datable approximately to the mid-19th century. Characterized by sober lines and balanced proportions, it features a **large upper drawer** surmounting a **squared-paneled door**, which opens onto a practical interior compartment with a shelf. The protruding rectangular top and the shaped fascia under the drawer evoke the essential, functional language of 19th-century popular furnishings.
The structure preserves a pleasant **antique patina**, which enhances the natural grain of the wood and testifies to the long use of the piece. Particularly interesting is the presence of the **recessed iron lock** and the **ancient hardware**, presumably original to the period, perfectly coherent with the construction and the authentic character of the furniture. The back, made with original wooden boards, confirms the traditional craftsmanship of the 19th century.
A versatile piece with great charm, ideal as a **bedside table, entryway cabinet, or small cupboard**, perfect for rustic interiors, country homes, and traditional antique collections. It retains signs of time, wear, and traces of old wood-boring insects, elements compatible with the age and authenticity of the item.
