A particularly elegant and harmonious antique oak wall cabinet / medicine cabinet / apothecary cabinet, shaving cabinet. In Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) style, dating from around 1900. Whereas many cabinets from this period have a stricter exterior, this piece is a beautiful example of the movement both inside and out.

Art Nouveau exterior made of solid oak with a warm patina. The top features a characteristic wavy cap crowned with a pearl edge. The door has a rectangular mirror framed by an elegant wooden frame with a brass Art Nouveau door knob. At the bottom there is a drawer with a refined edge finish and a brass Art Nouveau drawer knob.

The interior is lined with some foil in an original floral pattern in Art Nouveau style. The lining continues on the outside at the top and on the back wall at the bottom.

It has 2 wooden shelves creating 3 clearly arranged compartments. The door closes firmly with a classic ball bolt lock.

At the back is a sturdy metal hanging eye for stable wall mounting.

The mirror has a beveled edge and has weathered a bit over the years. Small hole in the back wall at the bottom as shown in the last photo.
