Box - .925 silver - Vienna - Guilloche enamel

An antique Austrian sterling silver circular box with a guilloche enamel lid, hand-painted with a wreath of pink and yellow roses over an engine-turned sunburst ground, with gold-painted starburst accents at the centre. Gilded interior. Stamped 925 with the Austrian Vienna assay hallmark on the base and the inner lid rim. Dimensions: H 1 x W 4.5 x D 4.5 cm. Weight: 39 g. Condition: natural patina and light wear consistent with age; an old professional repair to the enamel on the lid; minor surface scratches. The hinge works.
