Freemasonry — Internal Rituals Of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite — circa 1961

Lusseau (Georges). Rituals Of the Officers Of the Lodge “The Masonic Spirit”, No. 713, in the Orient of Paris. [Paris, after July 1961].

Set of five typewritten fascicles stapled, under handmade covers of different colors, gathered in a pink card folder: Worshipful Master, Senior Warden, Junior Warden, Expert and Master of Ceremonies.

Working rituals for the first degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, detailing words, gestures, movements, opening and closing of works, renewal of vows and the chaîne d’union. The Master of Ceremonies’ fascicule, paginated up to 7, includes an illuminating drawing relating to handling the ebony staff.

Text composed by Georges Lusseau, Expert of the lodge “The Masonic Spirit”, based on the ritual of “La Réelle Fraternité”, No. 619, in the Orient of Besançon, observed during a meeting with Fernand Chapuis, 33°, on 20 July 1961. Also references the Practical Ritual by Raymond Danier.

A rare internally distributed set, used in the lodge, with underlinings, annotations and passages masked with green ink.

Condition: covers creased and torn with small losses; labels worn; staples slightly oxidized; interior in decent condition.
