The absolute protagonists are two white peacocks, a rarity of nature, symbolizing purity, grace, and aristocratic distinction, portrayed in a French-style garden of extraordinary compositional perfection.

The white peacock is not simply a colorless peacock: it is a creature that has sublimated its splendor to its most essential form, where light takes the place of pigment and every feather becomes a mother-of-pearl and ivory embroidery.
The scene is built with the precision of a tapestry from the Manufacture Royales: the largest peacock dominates from above on a light stone balustrade, its tail spread like a wedding fan that descends gently downward; the second, more gathered, stands beside it discreetly on the lower plane.

Around them, a seven hundred garden in full bloom, pink roses, salmon peonies, flowering shrubs, a large leafy tree framing the scene from above, with cypresses on the horizon and a neoclassical temple in the background, a mirrored water feature included. The outer border, with its floral medallions on emerald green background and rocaille gilded scroll details, transforms the panel into something that sits halfway between a grand Flemish tapestry and a royal palace botanical print.
